i stand in wonder on the hem of the ocean
as threads unravel on the stony shore
the waves like fabric fold and wrinkle in motion
and i’m reminded of your wonder once more

you’ve woven me together
like the waves of the sea
the tailor of the ocean
is designer of me

snapping echoes from your fingers of lightning
your feet of thunder stomp a path for the rain
wrung out from clouds held in your grip slowly tightening
and i’m reminded of your power again

you orchestrate the thunder
you calm the mighty seas
the one who rules the weather
has a plan of life for me
