i walk this earth feeling meaningless
a speck of sand on the shore
in my mind, i am useless
but to you i’m so much more

you promise me you will lift me up
you offer strength to endure
but sin distracts and i hit the dust
like so many times before

help me please, i need to focus and obey
i’m on my knees, and to you my God i pray

why am i so unfaithful?
what can i do with this greed?
these worldly things seem so wonderful
but i still feel so empty

when will i see that you’re everything
your love is all that i need
a life of praise is my offering
for the gift you’ve given me
